LISA
CONVENTION BOOKS & FLYERS
LISA has
held many conventions since beginning in 1992. These have been domestic
conventions, where there may have been an Australian guest or no guest
at all, as well as special 'International' Convention featuring international
guests. The International Convention Books are discussed in the International
Convention Books Section (under Construction) while featured here
are only a few of the books issued at Domestic Conventions. The books
came in two sizes - A4 and a smaller size. The scans of the smaller
sized books display both the front and rear covers. The books are
dated September 12th, 1992, March 14th, 1993, June 27th, 1993 and
September 4th (no year). Also included is a copy of a convention flyer
dated July 2nd, 1994. Two books contain LIS Calendars on the rear
cover. The Convention books are very similar in structure and format
containing a program of the day, people involved in running the respective
clubs, adverts for other fanclubs, adverts for video releases and
announcements for upcoming events while some include unfinished Comic
artwork by Innovations Comics Artist Michal Dutkiewicz. Page length
varies and there is no price tag to these books as they were handed
out on the day of the convention. There are no stories or articles
in these books. The 'Double Treat Minicon' book dated September 12th,
1992 is the first Convention to feature LISA and has a copy of unfinished
artwork that has been signed by Michal Dutkiewicz as well as a review
of Michal's career. The book dated March 14th, 1993 has a complete
Lost In Space Episode Guide (no reviews). The book dated June 27th,
1993 again contains black and white unfinished artwork from Innovations
Comic. It also has a 'Wonderword' puzzle by Trevor Douglas.
