Lost In Space Forever

PART FOUR

"Whats wrong John?" asked Don.

"I don't know it looks like our batterys need charging because they have got damaged in the radiation storm last night", said John.

"Well I have been watching the locater and I have been seeing little blue dots on the screen and they were the exact same dots that we had last night."

BANG.

" What was that?" asked Don.

"Well I think those blue dots that you are seeing are radiation storms, but I think if all the radiation storms are around were we are we must be in a Gigantic Radiation Storm", said John.

"We can't stay here", said Dr Smith, rushing in to see what had happened.

" For once he's right you know Don, if we stay here our whole ship will be destroyed. But remember we can't go anywhere without those batteries charged up", said Don.

"Well we will have to put the force field up." Don and John set up the force field.

"Alright we better get some sleep", said Major West.

"SMITH", said Don.

"
Yes Major", replied Dr. Smith.

"You have guard duty, if a blue dot or a message through the radio comes in I want you to press this red button here", said Don.

"Robot you watch him closely I want to make sure he doesn't step out of place", said Don.

"Affirmative", said Robot.

"Don't you worry Major I will keep my eye open every minute of this night", said Dr. Smith.

"You better, I will be picking up a report on you in the morning, is that clear Smith", said Don.

"LOUD AND CLEAR", said Dr. Smith.

"Come on, lets go to bed, we have a big day ahead of us."

3 HOURS LATER. "DR. SMITH", said the Robot.

"WHAT WHAT", said Dr. Smith waking up from his light nap.

"You are supposed to stay awake to keep watch on the radar", said the Robot.

"I was you stupid machine", said Dr. Smith looking smart.

" Anyway look what is on the radar", said the Robot. Dr. Smith looked at the radar, it had a small green dot on it travelling fast straight at them!!! Robot rushed over to the red button and pressed it. Four beeps sounded and Major West came out in his PJ's. "What has happened?" asked Don.

" Look on the radar", said the Robot.

"There is a green dot on the radar and we don't know what it is", said Dr. Smith. 'It's a space ship or a missile, it looks like it has locked it's target right at us", said Don. "YOU MEAN WE ARE ALL GOING TO DIE", said Dr. Smith.
"I don't know, but this force field won't stand it if it is a missile, we better wake up the others and set up the lasers", said Don.

Don woke up John and the others. "John we better set up the "BIG" laser", said Don. "No, I don't think they will be strong enough", said John. "Come with me", said John. They went into the engine room. "I have a book here about these engines, it says in it that if there is a problem of some sort we can take them apart and make a big huge and powerful laser if we can charge those batteries up", said John. "But how long have we got?" said Don.

Just then Will burst in. "There is 3 other missiles on the radar", said Will. "One has landed a long way from here and one is coming even closer to here", said Will.

"We are going to have to work fast", said Don. John and Major West made up the laser and destroyed 2 missiles. "Here comes another one", said Don.

Ready Aim FIRE. ZAP ZAP. The missile fell to the ground just metres away from the ship.

"Don, I think these missiles are something to do with this radiation storm", said John. "Anyway, I have just checked the batteries and they are half full but I have seen a planet not far from here during the night and we might be able to take off from here and go to the planet and then charge the batteries up more."

So the Robinson family and Major West took off from the planet and carried on there journey looking for Earth. "Dad, will we ever see Earth again?" said Will. "I don't know son, we could be Lost in Space Forever."
