ISSUES and COVERS 17 - 24 Alpha Control has for sometime carried no price tag. It is still posted out to members although occasionally it is distributed at LISA Conventions. The Table of Contents still appears on the second page but there are some alterations. Bob May and Dick Tufeld write for the magazine but for the most part they appear in 'The Letters to the Editor' section before moving to being regular features. Also as the issues numbers declined (cost of production, time constraints etc.) from four to two a year the dates on the cover of the magazine and those inside do not match. Features such as the LISA Crossword appear irregularly. As well as the regular Issues there are some double issues. As with other issues much of the Artwork featured in the Alpha Control can be viewed in then Artwork Section of the LISA site.
The issue
runs for 82 pages. The title page appears on page three as it
has
for several issues and again the Editors are listed as the LISA Committee.
Also like Issue 16 it lists the names of the Committee - Dai Buckley,
Steven Cateris, Roman Krzton, Anne McClenahan and Glenn. There
is a small note covering the front cover and the kiss by Mark Goddard
and Marta Kristen. Jonathan Harris writes about working on the
new
carton movie 'It's a Bug's Life' in 'Meditations'. 'This is Alpha
Control' covers the history of the LIS movie as well as announcing
Mark Goddard's upcoming tour. The Mark Goddard thread is continued
in Part Two of his interview. This runs for ten pages and will
continue
in Part Three. This issue sees the first of Mark's special column
for Alpha Control titled in this issue 'Major Don West Reports
'.
The Goddard Tour is advertised over two pages. 'Lost In Space

- The Dawning of a New Age' is an article by Dai Buckley and

'Captain
Alonzo P. Tucker. What Happened?' and looks at his career and ultimate

is covered
in a new feature titled 'The Questing Episodes..'. Appropriately
enough the first episode covered is 'The Questing Beast'. 'Enter
Actor: Seth
Mumy' is a look at acting debut of Bill Mumy's son, Seth. Bruce Bennie

to the states!! 'The Questing Episodes' sheds light on the episode 'Wish
Upon A Star'. There is an advert for the LISA Autumn Convention of 11th

continues displaying a set of postage stamps, Movie Trading Cards, Icons
Full Scale B-9 Robot (pretty lady NOT included!), Lost In Space Forever
Book by Joel Eisner and Barry Magen (foreword by June Lockhart), Trendmasters
Movie items and Lightspeed Fine Arts posters. Remember the fan that
had his scale model Jupiter Two signed by Mark Goddard at the Airport?
Well that fan was Robert Bonifazio and Ian Stahlhut offers a look at
this fans dedication to recreating items from the series in 'A Model
Fan'. Robert's attention to detail has to be seen to be believed! What
makes this all the more unbelievable is that all his work is done from
scratch. Robert also helped out the LISA Committee during the LISA Melbourne
Convention. Ed Shifres meets J-5 also known as Lou Wagner and also talks
with Malachi Throne. Steven Cateris reviews the '1998 Spring Convention'

Perry runs his own cable TV show called 'Perry's Time Machine' and as Guy was one of Perry's childhood idols it seemed only logical that he be the topic of one of his shows. The 'Merchandising Mecca' continues with printed material and Clothes ware being studied. Ed Shifres meets up with Harry Varteresian (Vicho - LIS Episode Space Circus) and Michael Greene (Nubu - Space Circus). 1999 Autumn Convention Review by Steven Cateris, which like this issue heavily, featured Guy Williams.
